Meet Polly

60 seconds with Polly, our Prime Renewal ambassador, interior design enthusiast and IMEDEEN scanning consultant

Polly describes herself as ‘25 year old trapped in the body of a 53 year old’ and we love her positive, can-do attitude.  She’s highly creative and currently putting her design skills to good use renovating her new home.  She’s particularly looking forward to giving the garden a much needed facelift in spring. Polly has been an IMEDEEN Prime Renewal fan for over 2 years. She says she can spot fellow IMEDEEN users in store “there’s an indefinable glow to their skin which comes from within!”

What do you love most about the age you are?
The older I get, the less worried I am about how I’m perceived and I think that’s a good thing.  I also love the freedom that comes now that my children are young adults. I think it’s important to live in the moment and enjoy.

How has your beauty routine changed over time?
I’ve learned what works for me and I stick to that.  I take IMEDEEN Prime Renewal; I use a daily moisturiser with an SPF 30 all year round and a night cream with retinol.  Occasionally I will use a chemical exfoliation treatment.  When it comes to make-up, as one gets older, I think less is definitely more.  Ironically, I feel much more confident about going out bare-faced now than I did when I was younger!

Any top exercise tips?
I like the French phrase’ trouvez l’escalier’ – literally find the stairs.  I avoid lifts and escalators and take the stairs as quickly as I can! I walk as much as I can and don’t sit down until late.  I’m a great believer in keeping active and looking forward to taking up flamenco dancing in the New Year!

What was the last thing you bought on your credit card?
Double glazing for our new house – not very glamorous!  Before that it was my favourite perfume.  I adore fragrance and feel undressed without it!

What song gets you on the dancefloor?
It doesn’t take much to get me dancing – any disco track and I’m up.  Michael Jackson ‘Don’t blame it on the boogie’ springs to mind!
