Nutritional tips – what to eat

This affects the growth cycle, leading to increased shedding of hair and brittle nails. Vegetarians need to ensure they get adequate supplies of protein.

Eggs – an excellent source of protein and rich in biotin and B5.

Pulses
– lentils and beans are a good vegetarian source of protein, iron and zinc.

Flaxseed
– sprinkle on cereal to help boost intake of essential fatty acids.

Cucumber
– a cool way to increase silica supplies and other essential minerals.

Spinach
– contains iron and vitamin A which helps produce oil to lubricate hair and keep it shiny.
