De-stress your tresses

High stress levels are sometimes associated with temporary hair loss. Periods of extreme stress  can trigger chemicals in the body that cause hair to enter a resting phase which means there is no new hair growth. Hair continues to shed normally but is not replaced, causing it to appear much thinner.  Stress is also the major cause of nail biting.

Head massage has  been used in India for centuries to soothe stress and promote hair growth and is an integral part of the family beauty routine. Moses Chundi, a renowned practitioner, recommends massaging the scalp daily to increase blood supply to the hair follicles and improve nutrition. Once or twice a week, deep treat by adding oil to the massage. He recommends using  olive or sesame oil as a base and adding a few drops of essential oils such as calming lavender or rose.
